Season 6 Episode 1:"TWINS GAME"

Hey everyone, I had a crazy stressful week.

Tuesday: We had service at Prince of peace and then we had a lesson with one of our investigators and committed him to be baptized but he needs to come to church or that won't happen. We are super excited
about him as our investigator though! Then we had a lesson with a recent convert named Taz. We read through Alma 32. It was a good lesson!

Wednesday: We did some tracting for a while. We did not get in any doors, but we had some fun with it. Then we had dinner with the Holmberg's  it was really good. Then we had Bible study with the Hermana's and their investigator.

Thursday: We had a lesson with our less active Larry Cook and Bro Stanich came with us and invited him to church again. Then we had frisbee at the church with a lot of the youth. That was a really good time! Then one of the Priests took us out to Jimmie Johns that was nice!

Friday: Weekly Planning day... That was no fun!! Then we went to Sis Long-McGies and worked on the Farm with the sisters. It was fun! Then she fed us Carnitas. We got to play a little ping pong and that was fun! Then we had Bingo with Bro Stanich.

Saturday: We had meetings all morning and then went to Perkins for breakfast. Then we played volleyball. Then we had a few people we saw.

Sunday: We had church and we taught the lesson in Gospel Principles. We taught on Family Responsibilities. Then we had brunch at the Richards and we had a few lessons fall through.

This week was very long. Sorry for the short email. Hopefully this upcoming week will be great! I also found out I am going to the Twins game on the 14th of April. I am so excited for it. So y'all gotta watch it and see if you can see us in centerfield. Anyway, this week was alright!! Have the best week.

Season 5 Episode 5: "Temple Trip"

Hello everyone, I hope that you are all doing super good. We had a great week! We saw some miracles that we were super pumped about.

Monday: Was a great day, we did some finding and taught 4 lessons. It was super cool! Then we had a family home evening lesson with the Holmberg's about the Holy Ghost. It was a great lesson. It was not p-day because we went to the temple on Wednesday so we had to change our p day.

Tuesday: We had our prince of peace service. Then we went to Chipotle for lunch, that was super good. After that me and Elder Hodgson our district leader went on exchanges. I took over my area, we did a lot of stop by's and no one was home so that was difficult. But that is missionary work for you! We did have a lesson with Bro Stanich about the Priesthood it was good.

Wednesday: We got to go to the Temple, it was incredible honestly. After not being around a temple for 7 months it was so good to go. It was very small, but man you feel so much peace in there. I am so grateful we had the opportunity to go. It was so spiritual! We went as a district and man I just loved it! Then that night we went to the Elders Quorum Presidency meeting to get some assignments to go see some people. That was really good! We also lost our phone that night and we were so mad hahah. We luckily found it the next morning.

Thursday: We ran to the church for morning workouts which was 4.2 miles and we ran at 5 in the morning. It was awesome, but so tiring. Recently we have been going to the church every morning and playing basketball with the Sister Missionaries. It has been fun! Then Bro Stanich went joint teaching with us to a less active member and it was
so awesome.

Friday: We planned like all day. A member in the ward asked us to teach the restoration at her daughters baptism on Saturday, so we planned for that. Then we went to sister long mcGies to help her on her farm. That's always fun!

Saturday: We went to the Baptism and did our little presentation and that was really good.  I was soo nervous though hahah.. Then we had volleyball and that was fun. Then I tried to dunk it and I sliced two of my fingers open and they were bleeding everywhere.. It was nasty. Oh and it was my sisters b day so happy late b day Josie :)

Sunday: We had church, then we had brunch with the Richards and that was good. Then we had a FHE lesson with the Woods and we taught about adversity. It was super good! Then we visited some people with bro Stanich. Since we are low on miles he offered to drive us so that was nice.

We just found out transfers and I am staying in Lakeville/Farmington. I am so happy! Me and Elder Peterson will be together. I am happy about that! I love this area. :) I am doing pretty good. I am getting back in shape so that is good. We have P90X and Insanity now so that is great. I hope y'all are doing great. I miss you guys a lot. Have the best week!

Season 5 Episode 5: "7 Months"

Dear Family and Friends,

This week went by super fast it was crazy. We had a pretty good week!

Monday: We had p day which was fun. Then we had a family home evening with a part member family. We talked about Giving Thanks. It was really good!

Tuesday: We had Prince of Peace in the morning. That was fun service! Then I went on exchanges with Elder Freestone the Zone Leader. We went to his area. It was super sweet! We taught lots of lessons. They have
a lot going for them in there area. Something I learned from that exchange is to have urgency and be excited about missionary work. I really enjoyed that exchange. Except this is the day I started to get sick. I have just been super stuffy recently and it has been hard to breathe. But I am doing much better now.

Wednesday: We had a dinner with a family, that was not too nice. So that was fun! That night we were going to go to do tennis with a non member at Lifetime Fitness. We got there and it was too much money. So we ended up going to the church and having a church tour with him and got him into family history so that was way better. He just wanted to play tennis with us. Because my companion is a super good tennis player. So they want to battle hahah.

Thursday: We cleaned the apartment super good. It was really fun actually!! It was nice to get everything organized again. Then we went to the farm again and helped out a sister in the ward. We got to  deworm goats. That was interesting!! Then we had a lesson with some of the youth, we read through preach my gospel and talked about the Book of Mormon. Then we had dinner and it was super good. They are from Germany, and his name is "Wolfgang" hahah. Then we had a lesson with our investigator Mike. We talked about the Word of Wisdom. He has a problem with it. So it was kinda a bash.. We got be better about that! But we are teaching with him with Bishop Connor next time. So that should be good!

Friday: We had weekly planning which was super boring. But we got some things done! Then sister long McGee took us out to Olive Garden. That was super good! I got the all you can eat soup. Then we went to Big Brother Stanich's place and played bingo with a bunch of old people. We got to help run it, it was super fun haha.

Saturday: The Zone Leaders had a baptism so we went to that. That was super sweet!  Then we had volleyball and then we went to the Holmbergs and visited with them. They are like the best family ever. I love them
a lot.

Sunday: We had church which went really good. Then we went to the Wynn's for lunch. Then we had dinner with the Webers. Then we went to Mission Presidents fireside. It was awesome. I love hearing all these

conversion stories of recent converts.

This week we get to go to the St. Paul Temple on Wednesday. So I am pumped about that!! Today is my 7 month mark. Wow ! I love you all!

Have the best week!

Season 5 Episode 4: "Elder, LOCK YOUR HEART"

Hello Family and Friends,

I hope all of you had an amazing Valentines Day. I know I had a great Valentine's Day. We got to visit a lot of people so it was awesome! This week was a pretty great week. We saw lots of little miracles.

Monday: It was P day. We all just hung out at the church. Played all kinds of sports and had a really fun day! But our Car battery died for the first time in the week. It ended up dying 6 times total this week. Man our car is just messed up haha!

Tuesday: We had our Tri Zone Conference. It was really really good! The main thing they talked about is having Urgency and being more consecrated. I got to see a lot of Elders that I came out with. It was fun, I like seeing missionaries I have not seen in a while. President Forbes is the most caring person. He really loves all of us! He gave great trainings. I admire him a lot! Then we went to Smash Burger. Haha I love that place so much! Then we had two lessons that night with two part member families. It was great!

Wednesday: This day was amazing. We had some amazing miracles. We did a little bit of Finding and we stopped by a potential investigator named Michael, we taught him the Restoration and I invited him to be baptized. It was such an amazing lesson! We were so pumped to find someone to teach. We didn't get a return appointment because he has a crazy work schedule, but he wants us to come back very soon. So me and Elder Peterson were so excited! Then we stopped by a former Investigator family. They are from Kenya and are such nice people. We taught them about the Book Of Mormon and they want to meet with us again. In our area we have a struggle with finding people to teach.  So these things I am talking about probably don't seem that amazing to you, but for how our area is, this is absolutely amazing!!

Thursday: We did service at Prince of Peace in the morning. Then as a zone we went out to eat at Panera Bread. I got free tomato soup which was awesome. Then we had a lesson with a less active member. About temples and family history work. It went good, he just isn't willing to change. He needs to be humbled or something!  Then later in the night, one of my favorite families ever the Holmberg's called us and asked if we could stop by and give there daughter a blessing, she was going into surgery on her foot the next day. I gave the blessing! It was great. Priesthood power is so real.

Friday: Weekly planning day. That went really good! We made some awesome goals, and really got down to business with what we want to do with the people we are working with. Then we went to Sister Long Mcghee's and helped her on her farm with the animals. It was so much fun, one of the goats just had two babies. It was sweet to hold them. They are like cute little puppies. It was also cool to see how the mom would attack any goat that got near her babies. Then we went to Sis Knobecks and helped her paint her house with the Sister Missionaries. It was really fun! I enjoy painting a lot now. I have done it a lot more than I thought I would on my mission. Then we went to a place called Farmington Steakhouse it was so good and it is so cheap. The Holmbergs took us there, it's crazy the love that you can have for a family that you work with. I really love em like family. Then we had a lesson with another member we are working with Big Bro Stanich he is 70 years old and we teach him each week. It's amazing working with him, he is such a solid guy.

Saturday: We had basketball all arranged for that morning at 11:00 but when we showed up to the church there was a valentines dance all set up in the gym. So we had to cancel on everyone.. Then we went to the Burnsville chapel to play Volleyball, when we got there to set it all up we realized the net was broken :( So we played volleyball without a net and then realized how dumb it was and started playing soccer. It was really fun! Then as we were leaving it was freezing outside and we were in shorts and a t shirt and for some reason I decided to put my iPad and our phone on top of the car. Then I got in the car and we drove off. Man I am so dumb sometimes haha.. Then I heard it fall off the car and then it clicked in my head that I left it up there. So we turned around after driving like a quarter of a mile down a hill. We looked for it for 25 minutes and we couldn't find it. Then I ran all the way to the bottom and it was in the middle of a busy intersection and I ran out there and grabbed it ( Don't worry dad I looked both ways and I was safe :)) Then we helped the Holmbergs move a couch into their house. They were watching All Star weekend and man it was difficult to be there hahah.

Sunday: It was Valentine's Day/Lock Your Heart Day it was an awesome day. We went to Church and it was great. Then we had Brunch at the Richards. I love eating there, it is always so amazing! Then we had a lesson with our Investigator Mr. Freeman. We taught him the restoration briefly.. He went off on politics so we kinda just sat there. It was hard to teach anything haha. Then we went to the Briggs for dinner. They are a cool family! Then we went to Sister Wynn's thats always a good time.

This week was full of miracles. We were so happy with it! We just gotta keep working hard and doing the best we can. I have realized that we have such a short time in our lives to be missionaries, we need to live it up and give it our best effort. Even if it super difficult sometimes. I am so grateful to be in this mission in Minnesota. I have come to love this place so much and especially the people. I have grown so much in just the short time I have been out. My favorite quote for this week was something my good pal Kevin Durant once said " Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard." I love you all and am grateful for all the love from you guys. Keep it up everyone :) Have the best week ever.

Season 5 Episode 3

Hello Everyone, another week down.

Tuesday: It snowed super bad and everyone in the mission was grounded from cars and bikes. So we couldn't do anything. I mean we could have walked but everyone lives so far from eachother it would not have been productive. So we did lots of phone calls and Bro Macmillan took us to a place called old Chicago I had Spaghetti Pie, wow was it good!! Then at night we just went shoveling people's driveways.

Wednesday: We had District Meeting. Then me and Elder Fullenwider went on Exchanges. We helped some lady move for like 4 hours it was fun. Bro Jones helped us, he is a former Mission President and it was fun to talk to him. He knows like all the apostles so it was sweet to do that. Then we went to help another lady paint her house. So this day was full of service. It was super good!

Thursday: We went and did service at Prince of Peace and then we went to Sis LongMcgee and did service for her. We went and worked on her farm again. We fed goats again. Then we played frisbee at the church.  That was fun!

Friday: We did weekly planning, then we got a car wash and that was nice to make our cars look good. Then we had a lesson with Mike Perkins our Investigator. We ate at Dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings. Then we played Bingo with old people at one of our Less Actives it was super fun. I did not win though ;( hahah.

Saturday: Our mission President wanted us to re watch the Missionary Broadcast we had a few weeks ago. So we did that as a zone. It was really good! I really enjoyed the training that was given. Then we had our weekly volleyball. Then we went home and had dinner at a members home and it was really good. Then we helped the lady we helped paint earlier in the week paint again. It was really fun!

Sunday: We had Church and it was really good. Then we had Brunch at the Richards like we do every week. Then we went and visited a few people. Then we had dinner at the Milne's home and that was really good. Then we did went to the Wynn's and she was teaching us how to Knit. It was fun but weird, I am not good at all.

This week we were able to do lots of service. It was a really good opportunity. We hopefully touched the people we served hearts in some way. I challenge all of you to look for opportunities for service. I love you all, keep sending emails :)

Season 5 Episode 2

Dear family and friends,

Another busy week. I cannot believe that it is February already. Weeks are continuing to fly by. This week was actually a lot warmer than it should be for a Minnesota winter.

Tuesday: We had service at Prince of peace. Then we went to Panera Bread for lunch. Then our trunk broke.. So we went and got an estimated price on that and man it is going to be expensive.  Then we did a lot of visits and had a few lessons. It was good!!

Wednesday: We had a district meeting and it was really good. We talked a lot about finding, that is the focus this transfer. So that is going to be fun. We are doing lots of Tracting this transfer so that should be good.  Then we went and gave a member a blessing that was sick. Then we had basketball which was super good. We had a lot of non members there. Also we got to do some service for a member. We helped moving some hay and played with some goats. Hahaha it was really fun! We are going back this week to help more with some service.

Thursday: We had service at Prince of peace again. Then we taught a lesson to a less active member. He has the sweetest Disney movie collection. Any Disney movie you can think of he has. Then we played frisbee with our recent convert named Taz. It was super fun! The gym in the church was being used so we played in the parking lot and man it was pretty cold that day.. Then we had a lesson with Mike Perkins one of our investigators. Except it was his birthday, so we were not able to stay too long with him.

Friday: The coolest thing happened this day. We got a text from a random number saying that he was told to text us by Sister Richards In Salt Lake, he just moved to Minnesota from Utah and a lot of his friends got baptized. He asked us " What is the converting Process like? " So this guy is like a golden investigator. We are meeting him on Wednesday. I am soooo excited!! :) Then we had a a lesson with a returning less active member. Then at night when I was writing in my journal and I got a call from my good friend Elder Long. That was sweet to talk to him.

Saturday: We had basketball and volleyball and we did a few stop by's, and it was cool seeing and meeting a few people that bishop wanting us to stop by.

Sunday: We learned how to knit with a less active member. It was sweet!

I don't have a lot of time because all the missionaries I am with want to play some dodgeball, volleyball, and basketball. I am doing pretty good! I still can't believe it is February. Love you all have the best week!!
